Introducing the Number Eight... again!
Brooklyn Warehouse’s 8th anniversary just went blazing by this September. We've been kinda busy lately with a whole bunch of stuff, so we didn't make a big deal of it.
But, the success of starting a new business and keeping its doors open for eight years is not a fluke. That’s not to say we had all the answers and knew what we were doing from day one… or even now. Because we didn't, and we don’t.
But hard work has it’s rewards. One, is an eight year run. Another, is learning how to make it work, how to adapt and change with what the crowd wants. And then there’s the crowd itself; the people who make the place their own, support it because it aligns with who they are and what they trust, believe in, or simply wish to support; the regular customer.
Then there’s the other crowd… or the crew, that makes it all run, sometimes as smooth and sweet as a wonderfully executed Creme Brûlée with all its jagged edges, and other times… from deep within the weeds.
In the end, its all about putting a smile on someone’s face and a warm feeling of contentment in their soul. Even if its just a casual meal.
The same holds true for AceBurgerCo., Brooklyn’s streetwise three year old little brother at Gus’, and North Brewing Company, just across Agricola Street.
Eight years of ups and downs.
But we made it.
Now, we're starting a whole new project in Dartmouth with North Brewing, and have as much success as we've experienced in the North End of Halifax.
No doubt, we’ll have the same ups and downs. But that’s how we learn; and that’s how we get better. And that’s really what keeps people coming back; our commitment to getting it right, and putting that smile on someone’s face.
So, as this Crowdfunding Project nears the end of it’s days, consider what we, all of us, from Peter, Josh of North Brewing, George & Leo of BW&ABC, along with their families and their staff, and all our regular customers from the very beginning all the way till now, have accomplished… and what we are all still capable accomplishing in the coming years.
